The ART WORKSHOPS AT OSC are intended to provide a supplemental experience for families who are members of the swim club. Children who are not otherwise participating in Swim Team activities at the scheduled times will have the opportunity to join in a fun, enrichment-based creative experience. Each week will have an engaging theme to guide a series of art projects, resulting in a variety of takeaways and new or developed approaches to art making.

 

When: 1 hour sessions, during OSC Swim Team practices.

2 sessions are offered daily: 9:30-10:40 and 10:40-11:40

July 22-23-24-25 (M-Th)

July 29-30-31-Aug 1 (M-Th)

 

**In the event of rain, a Friday session will be offered to make up a day.

 

Where: Under the covered pavillion at Oreland Swim Club

 

Who: Children age 6 & up

JASON SLOWIK leads these workshops. Jason is a Certified K-12 Art Educator with 13 years experience working as Art Teacher at Jenkintown Middle/High School. Jason has also worked extensively with the City of Phila. Mural Arts Program and maintains a studio practice.

What’s Needed: Students should bring a great attitude and willingness to participate:)

Students should wear clothes that you won’t be worried about in the event that paint etc. accidentally gets on them;) A button up shirt or apron “smock” is also suggested.

 

How much: $75 per student, per week.

$200 for all 3 weeks (discounted rate if registering for all 3 at once).

There will be a $35 late registration fee, per child, if registering after June 30th.

All supplies are included in this fee.

*Students must register by the Friday prior to the week.

**Artists may enroll on a weekly basis, and workshops will be held as long as a 5 child minimum enrollment is achieved. Maximum enrollment will be capped at 15 children per session.
