Coaches

  • Lauren Ellerson (Co-Head Coach)
This is Lauren's third year as head swim coach at OSC.  Coach Lauren is a graduate from Penn State University where she was team captain her senior year and swam the 100m and 200m backstroke as well as the 100m butterfly.  After college, she became the graduate assistant at LaSalle University while she earned her Masters in Education. Lauren is in her third year as a teacher in the School District of Springfield Township as a fifth-grade teacher at Erdenheim Elementary School. Welcome back, Lauren!

  • Alyce Mancini Sheerer  (Co-Head Coach)
Alyce is the mother to Payton and famous for her "best time beads".  Alyce coached OSC many years ago and is back for her second year since her return!  Her unique ability to engage with the younger age groups while being able to drive the older swimmers makes her invaluable to our team.  We are so happy to have her back again this year!

  • Conor Gesing  (Head Diving Coach)
Conor is a nationally ranked diver with many accomplishments in the field of diving. He is a 3X District One champion and recently finished State runner up at the PIAA State Championships.  He is looking forward to working with the wonderful OSC dive program that has seen substantial growth over the past couple years.

  • Liam Smith (Head Assistant Swim Coach)
Liam is a LaSalle College High School graduate, high school All-American, and a rising sophomore swimmer at the University of Notre Dame.  He is certainly a welcome addition to this year’s coaching staff and we look forward to the leadership he will provide for our swimmers!  He will also help manage the pool this summer.

  • Maggie Mogee (Assistant Swim Coach)
Maggie is a recent Springfield graduate where she both swam and played water polo. She has been a friendly face on the lifeguard stand for many years and we are so excited for her to join the coaching staff this summer!  Welcome Maggie!

  • Abby Steinbrook (Assistant Swim Coach)
Abby is a rising sophomore at Springfield High School where she swam and played water polo as a freshman.  She also swims for the Upper Dublin Aquatic Club.  Along with Grace Duncheskie, this dynamic pair were integral in helping Springfield High School win their first ever District 1 Swimming Championship!  Abby led off the 200 Free Relay that placed 2nd at the PIAA 2A State Championships and swam the butterfly leg of the 200 Medley that won at the District 1 Championships.  She will be a great addition to the coaching staff this summer!

  • Grace Duncheskie (Assistant Swim Coach)
Grace is also a rising sophomore at Springfield High School where she swam and played field hockey as a freshman.  The other half of the dynamic freshman duo this year, Grace swam the 3rd leg of the 200 Free Relay that took 2nd place at the PIAA 2A State Championship and swam the breaststroke leg of the 200 Medley that took 1st at the District 1 Championships.   She also competes for the Upper Dublin Aquatic Club.  Grace has been a friendly face at Oreland pretty much since the day she was born, and we are lucky to have her on the coaching staff again!
